Would you kill to save a loved one? Written and directed by Zak Hilditch, the Texas-set supernatural chiller Rattlesnake places single mother Katrina (Selma's Carmen Ejogo) in an untenable moral predicament in order to save her dying daughter Abbie (Emma Greenwell). A mysterious healer save Abbie from certain death when she is bite by a rattlesnake. In exchange, the woman demands payment in the form of one soul or she will allow Emma to die. With her daughter's life at stake, Katrina must not only decide whether she will kill to settle her debt but who she must kill. Rattlesnake, which premiered locally during the Austin Film Festival, debuted Oct. 25 on Netflix. Zak Hilditch previously directed These Final Hours and the Stephen King adaptation 1922. Ross M. Dinerstein produced 1922 and 6 Balloons for Netflix.
