Interview:
Brittany Flurry,
writer/director,
"Behind the Nose"
Afraid of clowns? Then writer/director Brittany Flurry is here to help you overcome your coulrophobia. Or maybe her mockumentary Behind the Noise will just confirm your worst fears. The Austin-shot Behind the Nose offers a hilarious look at the personal and professional problems that threaten to pull apart a troupe known as the "Clown Pound." Flurry’s “subjects” include a washed-up actor who despises putting on his makeup; an aspiring stand-up comedian with zero comic timing; his pothead nemesis; a woman (played by Flurry) who performs with the troupe to conquer her coulrophobia; and a perpetually upbeat clown who love her job as much as some people hate clowns. Behind the Nose will screen 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26 at the DoubleTree University during the Austin Revolution Film Festival.
