"I've Got Issues"
Written and directed by Steve Collins, the Austin-shot existential comedy I’ve Got Issues comedy examines the cruelty and struggles we face daily and the processes we undertake to heal ourselves of our mental anguish. Collins presents his portrait of human suffering through interconnected vignettes that are underlined by deadpan humor. The cast includes such notable Austin-based actors as Macon Blair, Byron Brown, Sam Eidson, Paul Gordon, and John Merriman as well as Claire Titelman, Maria Thayer, and Randy E. Aguebor. Jim Gaffigan serves as the narrator of I’ve Got Issues. I’ve Got Issueswill screen 10 p.m. Oct. 25 at the Rollins Theatre and 9:45 p.m. Oct. 30 at the State Theatre during the Austin Film Festival. Steve Collins previously directed 2006’s Gretchen and 2011’s You Hurt My Feelings—both of which featured many of his I’ve Got Issues cast members—as well as the 2014 documentary The Secret Life of Girls.
