"Pet Sematary: Bloodlines"
Produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, the Lindsey Anderson Beer-directed Pet Sematary: Bloodlines turns back to clock to a time when the residents of the small Maine town of Ludlow had yet to heed the lesson that sometimes dead is better. This prequel to the 2019 adaptation of the Stephen King novel “Pet Sematary” chronicles how a young Jud Crandall discovers a shocking family secret and must battle the evil that lurks within an ancient burial ground. Strange things begin to happen in Ludlow after Jud’s friend Timmy Braverman returns home from fighting in Vietnam. Jud barely recognizes the Timmy who went to war—he’s bitter, aloof, and confrontational. Others aware of and protective of Ludlow’s dark history, though, come to believe that Timmy is no longer the young man the town knew before he was drafted. That Timmy is now a vessel for an evil that knows every resident’s hidden secrets and wants to spread chaos throughout the town. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines stars Jackson White as the younger version of Jud Crandall, who was played by John Lithgow in the 2019 remake of Pet Sematary, and Henry Thomas as Jud’s father Dan. The cast also includes Jack Mulhern as Timmy, David Duchovny as Timmy’s father Bill, Forrest Goodluck as Jud and Timmy’s friend, and Isabella Star LaBlanc as Manny’s sister Donna. Pet Sematary: Bloodlines, which received its world premiere during this year’s Fantastic Fest, is now available to stream at Paramount+. Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian—di Bonaventura Pictures’ President of Production—previously produced the 2019 remake of Pet Sematary and produced or executive produced the franchise films Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Bumblebee, Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit, RED and RED 2. Their non-franchise films include Plane, Infinite, and Deepwater Horizon. They are currently producing the 2024 animated adventure Transformers One. Lorenzo di Bonaventura, formerly the president of worldwide production for Warner Bros. Pictures, also produced Michael Bay’s Transformers series of films, the G.I. Joe and The Meg franchises, Side Effects, The Devil Inside, Salt, and Constantine. He is currently producing Sony’s 2024 Spider-Man Universe entry Madame Web. Aired: Oct. 18, 2023.
