![]() In UT graduate student Juan Pablo González’s short documentary The Solitude of Memory, a grieving Mexican father recalls his last conversation with his son on the day of the young man’s sad and untimely death in 2010 in Mipillas, Atotonilco. In January, The Solitude of Memory won the Slamdance Film Festival’s Jury Award for Documentary Short. The Solitude of Memory will screen 2:30 p.m. Feb. 27 as part of the UT Austin Latino Film Student Selections showcase during the 37th annual CineFestival in San Antonia. Later this month, Juan Pablo González begins shooting the short narrative film Bury Me in the Dark, which focuses on a Mexican family faced with tragedy.
