Interview:
Tony Todd,
Greater Austin Comic Con
Tony Todd made a name for himself in horror beginning with director Tom Savini’s 1990 remake of George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead and continuing with the Candyman, Final Destination and Hatchet franchises. The classically trained theater actor also has appeared in The Crow, The Rock, Wishmaster, Sushi Girl, and 2015’s Frankenstein, which reunited Todd with his Candyman director Bernard Rose. He also voiced the Fallen in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen and Darkseid in the Lego DC Comics Super Heroes films Justice League vs. Bizarro League and Attack of the Legion of Doom. He can currently be seen in the Scott Adkins thriller The Debt Collector and the Gunnar Hansen-penned Death House alongside such fellow genre icons as Kane Hodder, Barbara Crampton, Michael Berryman, Sid Haig, Bill Moseley, and Dee Wallace. Tony Todd will attend the Greater Austin Comic Con, which runs Saturday and Sunday at the HEB Center in Cedar Park. He also lends his likeness to the character of Thato Azikiwe, a member of the U.N and the director of The Secret Lineage, in Focus, a new comic book about an autistic superhero.
