In the psychological thriller Bloodline, Seann Williams Scott stars as high school counselor Evan, a victim of childhood abuse who is still struggling to control the violent tendencies he suffers from as a result of his trauma. When he becomes a father for the first time, a sleep-deprived Evan finds the perfect outlet for his anger and frustrations: punishing the men who inflict physical and sexual abuse on the students Evan counsels. The cast also includes Matiela Garriga as Evan's wife Lauren and Dale Dickey as Evan's devoted mother Marie. A Blumhouse production, Bloodline marks the directorial debut of documentary producer and director Henry Jacobson and is the first produced screenplay written by Avra-Fox Lerner. Jacobson and Lerner spoke with Lights Camera Austin during Fantastic Fest. Bloodline will screen 8:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Alamo South Lamar during Fantastic Fest.
