"The Bad Guys"
Based on the play by Alena Smith, writer/director Carlos Rincones’ The Bad Guys finds a group of friends reuniting in upstate New York to welcome home from rehab their troubled buddy Ash. Erik Stocklin heads the cast as Noah, an aspiring filmmaker who plans to take Hollywood by storm with a drama that’s based on a tragic childhood incident involving Ash. The cast also includes Austinite and Expendables 3 costar Glen Powell as war veteran Whit. The Bad Guys marks the English-language film from former Austinite Carlos Rincones, who previously directed the Spanish-language comedy Malaventura. The Bad Guys will screen 8:15 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 1 at the Rollins Studio Theatre and 6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2 at the Texas Spirit Theater during the Austin Film Festival.
