Paramount100, Part 1: The Silent Era
The Paramount Thetare won't turn 100 until the fall of 2015 but that's not stopping the theatre from kicking off its centennial celebrations. The new classic film series Paramount100: A Century of Cinema presents some of the most influential films of the past 100 years. The series begins 7 p.m. Jan. 29 with Part 1: The Silent Era and will include shorts by Georges Méliès, D.W. Griffith, and Max Linder. Part 1: The Silent Era runs through April 2; films include Battleship Potemkin, The General, Intolerance, The Kid, Metropolis, and Nosferatu.
