"Foil"
The first feature collaboration between native Austinite Zach Green and University of Texas alum Devin O'Rourke, the sci-fi comedy Foil reunites two best friends on the eve of their high school reunion. Played by Green, Bryce returns to his California hometown unsure of how to reignite his career as a filmmaker after suffering a humiliating experience with his first feature. O'Rourke plays Dylan, a restless soul who persuades Bryce to take a desert camping trip under the pretense of rekindling their friendship. What Dylan really wants to do is to scour the desert for evidence proving he was abducted by aliens when he was a teenager. And a piece of memory foil may hold the key to unlocking past mysteries. Foil also stars Chris Doubek and Brian McGuire as desert dwellers with their own agendas. Directed by Zach Green, and written by Green and Devin O'Rourke, Foil is now available for digital/on-demand viewing. Green and Houston native O'Rourke met after both relocated to California to pursue careers in filmmaking. They previously collaborated on the 2020 short comedy Right On, which O'Rourke wrote and directed. Before moving to California, Green acted in two Austin comedies directed by Bryan Poyser, Lovers of Hate and Love & Air Sex.
