Cowritten and directed by Lázaro Ramos, the speculative drama Executive Order focuses on the violent efforts of an authoritarian Brazilian government to deport all citizens of African descent. Alfred Enoch and Taís Araújo star as an married couple separated during the government's nationwide deportation roundup. Both soon become faces of a growing resistance of black and black-presenting citizens that refuse to leave their homeland of Brazil. English-Brazilian actor Alfred Enoch starred as Dean Thomas in the Harry Potter franchise and as Wesley "Wes" Gibbins in the TV series How to Get Away with Murder. He will next star in Foundation, the AppleTV+ adaptation of the Isaac Asimov series of books. Executive Order premieres 2 p.m. central March 16 during SXSW Online, which runs through March 20.
