Interview: Jean Lauer,
film program director,
Cine Las Americas Film Festival

The Cine Las Americas International Film Festival runs April 22 through April 27. The lineup includes the opening night filmTercera Iiamade (Last Call) and the closing night film Pelo Malo (Bad Hair). Austin is represented in the Hecho en Tejas side by Jason Outenreath's Chateles del Campo (Country Kids) and Julianna Brannum's LaDonna Harris: Indian 101. The film festival also will pay tribute to Mexican American filmmaker Efraín Gutiérrez, a San Antonio native. Jean Lauer is the film program director of the Cine Las Americas International Film Festival.
