Ester wants to ride her bicycle and she wants to ride it where she likes. In co-writer/director Jose Luis Gonzalez’s animated short The History of Magic: Ensueño, the student hops on her trusty bike when high school gets out to make her way after home. But it is the journey through her imagination that is more important than her destination. The History of Magic: Ensueño, which will screen 12 p.m. May 6 at the Blanton Museum of Art during the Cine La Americas International Film Festival. Jose Luis Gonzalez previously directed Great Moments in Rock & Roll History (That Never Happened), Tall Tales & Other Big Lies, and the Kinkytoons series.
