Directed by the Austin-based Mario Mattei, the new Netflix documentary The Gentleman Driver chronicles the lengths to which four wealthy businessmen - including Mike Guasch and Ricardo Gonzalez - must go to compete and maintain their status as amateur racing car drivers with professional motorsports teams. Gentleman drivers pay to drive, often as a sponsor, alongside a team of professional drivers. FIA World Endurance Championship rules require one non-fulltime driver on team roosters. Mike Guasch, the founder of Molecule Labs, Inc., raced for United Autosports and was named the 2016 European Le Mans Series Man of the Year. Ricardo Gonzalez, the president of the foundation that established the Arkansas State University-Campus Querétaro in Mexico, raced for RGR Sport by Morand, which placed second in the 2016 FIA World Endurance Championship. Toni Calderon, The Gentleman Driver's executive producer and Ricardo Gonzalez's racing manager, joins Mike Guasch and Ricardo Gonzalez during this interview.
