"gen:LOCK"
gen:Lock, the new anime-style, 3D animated series from Rooster Teeth, imagines a world 50 years from today that is torn apart by a war initiated by the Union of the Fourth. Standing in the Union’s aggressive pursuit of world domination is the Polity and its military arm, the Vanguard. Several years after the Battle of New York, the Vanguard launches a new initiative to combat the Union: the gen:LOCK program, which pairs human pilots with mecha—giant robots—via an electronic mainframe. The voice cast is led by Michael B. Jordan as pioneer gen:LOCK pilot Julian Chase, Dakota Fanning as Mech pilot Miranda Worth, David Tennant as Vanguard scientist Dr. Rufus “Doc” Weller, and Maisie Williams as gen:LOCK trainee pilot Cammie MacCloud. gen:Lock will debut Jan. 26 at (https://roosterteeth.com), with Episode 1, The Pilot, available to all and Episode 2, There’s Always Tomorrow, available to Rooster Teeth FIRST members. Rooster Teeth favorites Chad James and Miles Luna also lend their voices to gen:Lock: James voices Mech pilot Jodie and Luna voices chief maintenance officer Miguel “Migas” Garza, who also is Chase’s best friend. Chad James is the producer for ScrewAttack and voices Boomstick on Death Battle; Miles Luna is Rooster Teeth’s head writer of animation and voices characters on Camp Camp, Nomad of Nowhere, Red vs. Blue, RWBY, and RWBY Chibi.
