Written and directed by the Austin-based Zachary Endres, the supernatural character study Homebody: The Haunt of Guy Withers focuses on a man unable to step foot outside his house for reasons beyond his control and his comprehension. Lonely and bored, Guy (Fabletown writer/director Jordan O’Neal) resorts to renting his spare bedroom to travelers for company and for extra cash. Guy soon finds his mundane existence challenged by Lyle (Ryan Sterling Smith), a guest who becomes both intrigued by and concerned with Guy’s situation. Homebody: The Haunt of Guy Withers is available to watch online at Eventive through Dec. 12 during this year’s hybrid Other Worlds Film Festival. Austin-based filmmaker Zachary Endres makes his feature-length directorial debut with Homebody: The Haunt of Guy Withers. He previously directed the short films Pact, Shark, The Teleported Man, andWhen Dinosaurs Ruled the Earth.
