![]() Written and directed by Luc Besson, the crime thriller DogMan stars Caleb Landry Jones as a lonely drag artist and petty crook who processes his childhood trauma through the close bonds he develops with the stray dogs he adopts. But Douglas “Doug” Munrow’s quiet life on the outskirts of society is threatened when he crosses paths with both an over-eager insurance investigator and a New Jersey gang leader. DogMan also stars Jojo T. Gibbs as a Evelyn, a psychiatrist assigned to Doug after his arrest, and Christopher Denham as insurance investigator Ackerman. DogMan, which premiered locally during last year’s Fantastic Fest, is currently playing at the Alamo South Lamar and will expand locally on Friday. The Texas-born Caleb Landry Jones previously starred in Finch, The Outpost, The Dead Don’t Die, Friday’s Child, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, The Florida Project, Get Out, Tom at the Farm, Contraband, X-Men: First Class, and The Last Exorcism.
