"I Wish You All the Best"
Based on the 2019 novel by Mason Deaver, the Tommy Dorfman-directed dramedy I Wish You All the Best chronicles a non-binary teen’s efforts to find themselves while contending with their estranged parents. Played by Corey Fogelmanis, 17-year-old Ben is kicked out of their house after telling their parents they are non-binary. Ben is taken in by their understanding sister Hannah and her husband Thomas. When they start a new high school, Ben meets and falls for classmate Nathan. But even after they start dating Nathan, Ben feels alone and alienated as they drift farther apart from their parents. I Wish You All the Best also stars Alexandra Daddario as Hannah, Cole Sprouse as Thomas, Miles Gutierrez-Riley as Nathan, and Lena Dunham as Ms. Lyon, Ben’s supportive art teacher. I Wish You All the Best screens during the SXSW Film & TV Festival at 2:30 p.m. March 14 at the State Theatre. Tommy Dorman makes her directorial debut with I Wish You All the Best. She has starred in the Netflix series 13 Reasons Why and appeared in Insatiable, Jane the Virgin, and American Princess as well as the Lena Dunham-directed drama Sharp Stick. Corey Fogelmanis starred in the Disney Channel series Girl Meets World and the Netflix series My Life With the Walter Boys. He also appeared in the Blumhouse chiller Ma and the Amy Poehler-directed Moxie. Aired: March 13, 2024. Web sites: https://schedule.sxsw.com/ https://www.instagram.com/iwyatbmovie/ |
