"Executive Order"
Cowritten and directed by Lázaro Ramos, the speculative drama Executive Order focuses on the violent efforts of an authoritarian Brazilian government to deport all citizens of African descent. Alfred Enoch and Taís Araújo star as an married couple separated during the government's nationwide deportation roundup. Both soon become faces of a growing resistance of black and black-presenting citizens that refuse to leave their homeland of Brazil. Married to Executive Order Lázaro Ramos, actress and TV host Taís Araújo is one of Brazil's most prominent media personalities. She has starred in the telenovelas Xica da Silva, Anjo Mau, Cobras & Lagartos, and Viver a Vida. She starred opposite Lázaro Ramos in the TV series Mister Brau and in the Brazilian stage production of The Mountaintop.
