Interview:
Dallas Burgess,
co-writer/director,
"Hyde"
A contemporary spin on Robert Louis Stevenson’s The Strange Case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, the Austin-set Hyde traces the past history of woman who wakes up a short time after being placed in a medically induced coma only to discover she cannot remember the past 10 years of life. As Cora Fisher attempts to regain her memory, she finds himself embroiled a sinister plot concocted by a mysterious terrorist known only as Hyde. Cora must evade both the police and a group of masked criminals if she wants to learn the truth about her dark past. Kelsey Pribilski, who has appeared in the locally shot films Brotherly Love and Virgin Cheerleaders in Chains as well the Rooster Teeth series Day 5, plays Cora. Hyde represents the directorial feature-length debut of Austin-based Dallas Burgess. Hyde will screen 11 p.m. Sept. 5 at the Ambassador Global Theater at the Crowne Plaza Austin Hotel during this year’s Austin Revolution Film Festival.
