"24 Hours to Live"
Death becomes Ethan Hawke in 24 Hours to Live, a futuristic action thriller that features his hitman killed during an assignment and brought back to life through an experimental medical procedure to finish the job. Only Hawke teams up with his target, Xu Qing’s Interpol agent, to take down the corporation responsible for forcing him out of retirement and getting him killed in the process. 24 Hours to Live, which is directed by Brian Smrz, premiered locally during last year’s Austin Film Festival, is now available on Blu-Ray, DVD and VOD. Brian Smrz, who previously directed the 2008 thriller Hero Wanted starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Ray Liotta, began his career as a stuntman, working on such films as F/X, Ruthless People, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Batman Returns, and Jurassic Park. He worked as a stunt coordinator on Get Shorty, Men in Black, Signs and the John Woo films Face/Off, Mission: Impossible II, and Windtalkers. He also has worked as a second until director on X2: X-Men United, Superman Returns, Night at the Museum, Live Free or Die Hard, Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Iron Man 3, and Terminator: Genisys.
