"The San Marcos River Project"
The short documentary The San Marcos River Project offers an up close and personal view of the efforts to conserve and to protect the river that rises from the Edwards Aquifer. A recreational destination for locals and tourists, the San Marcos River also serves as the home of Texas wild rice and the Texas blind salamander. The San Marcos River Project will screen 12:30 p.m. Nov. 8 at The Price Center in San Marcos as part of the Lost River Film Fest's Lone Star Showcase. Producers Valentina Khalimon and Patrick Fernandez are currently filming a feature-length documentary about the Atchafalaya Basin in Louisiana.
