The Austin Film Festival's summer camp program begins the week of June 5 and ends the week of July 28 at St. David’s Episcopal Church. Sessions devoted to filmmaking 101 and Claymation are offered to children ages 9-12. Teens ages 13-18 can attend Script to Screen sessions or can collaborate with ZACH Theatre camp actors during the Write, Shoot, Direct! class. The festival also will screen films during the summer, including a block of family animated shorts on May 30, Blood Stripe on June 6, My Cousin Vinny as part of the Paramount Summer Classics Film Series on June 19, and Snitch director Ric Roman Waugh’s new film Shot Caller, starring Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, on July 11.
