Castille Landon,
writer/director,
"Summer Camp"
![]() Would you relive your favorite summer camp memories if given the opportunity? In writer/director Castille Landon’s comedy Summer Camp, Kathy Bate’s best-selling self-help guru Ginny persuades her two best friends, workaholic bioengineer Nora (Diane Keaton) and the emotionally neglected nurse Mary (Alfre Woodard), to vacation at the same summer camp they met 50 years ago as pre-teens. Unfortunately, life gets in the way of Ginny’s best-laid plans for the three friends to reconnect through various old and new camp activities. And the strain each faces in their personal life threatens to further drive the friends apart. Summer Camp also stars Eugene Levy as Nora’s potential love interest Stevie D and Dennis Haysbert as Tommy, who catches the eye of the very married but very frustrated Mary. Summer Camp opened May 31 in theaters. Castille Landon transition from acting to directing with the 2016 family fantasy Albion: The Enchanted Stallion. She has since directed the inspirational dramedy Apple of My Eye, the thriller Fear of Rain, the drama Perfect Affection, and the last three installments of the After franchise, After We Fell, After Ever Happy, and After Everything.
