Interview:
Harris Demel,
writer/director,
"Blood Rush"
Formerly titled Flipped, Austin-based writer/director Harris Demel’s psychological thriller Blood Rush finds The Magicians’ Stella Maeve trapped upside down in a car following an accident in a remote area that has left the model’s pop star boyfriend dead. With her cellphone barely functioning, Maeve manages to make a call to a man she hopes will connect her to the police. But Michael Madsen’s initially noble random stranger seems more interested in playing mind games with the model he condemns for staying in an abusive relationship. Blood Rush, which marks the directorial debut of Harris Demel, is now available for VOD viewing on Amazon, iTunes and Youtube among other platforms.
