Jim Mickle,
co-writer/director,
"Cold in July"
Based on the book by East Texas author Joe R. Lansdale, co-writer/director Jim Mickle’s chilling revenge saga Cold in July stars Dexter's Michael C. Hall as a small-town family man whose life is turned upside down when he shoots dead a home invader. Hall’s real problems begin when he crosses paths with the home invader’s grieving father, an ex-con who is played by Sam Shepard. Cold in July also stars Don Johnson as the private investigator who links the shooting to corrupt cops and Texas mobsters. Co-writer/director Jim Mickle previously directed the Fantastic Fest entries Stake Land and We Are What We Are, which was a remake of the Mexican cannibal drama. Cold in July opened June 6 in Austin and is also available on VOD.
