Saw II-IV director Darren Lynn Bousman returns to the horror franchise for the first time since 2007 with Spiral: From the Book of Saw. Set within the Saw universe, Spiral introduces a new killer inspired by John Kramer's trapmaker Jigsaw. This killer seeks out corrupt police officers to play his deadly games. Chris Rock, whose love of the Saw franchise prompted this soft reboot, stars as Det. Ezekiel "Zeke" Banks, the honest cop on the hunt for the new killer. He is paired with Max Minghella's rookie Det. William Schenk. Samuel L. Jackson costars as Banks' father, retired police chief Marcus Banks. Spiral: From the Book of Saw opened May 13.
