Austin Revolution Film Festival
Dedicated to highlighting the work of micro-budget independent filmmakers, the Austin Revolution Film Festival screens its 3-day program of features and shorts packages from Feb. 15-17 at the Austin Southpark Hotel. (An opening night mixer will be held Feb. 13.) The festival opens Feb. 15 with the Austin-shot dramedy Paw Mama by local filmmaker David. N. Reyes. Other features include the pregnancy drama All the Weekend’s Drama, the genre thriller The Softening, the athletes with disabilities documentary Adapt, and the short documentary feature Left Bank, about the women who made possible the publication of James Joyce's Ulysses. The festival will also include more than 10 shorts packages, panels, and student activities. In addition to organizing the Austin Revolution Film Festival, James Christopher is currently working on the new baseball-themed streaming show Ballpark Nation that will debut later this spring.
