"The Last Stop in Yuma County"
Set in 1981, writer/director Francis Galluppi’s ensemble thriller The Last Stop in Yuma County finds two bank robbers forced to change their getaway plans when they need to gas up. Discovering the last gas station before the Yuma Desert is dry, Beau (3 From Hell’s Richard Brake) and Travis (I Care a Lot’s Nicholas Logan) have no choice but to sit and wait in the adjacent diner until the tank truck arrives. When they are recognized, the robbers hold hostage staff and patrons until they can fill up their empty gas tank. The Last Stop in Yuma County also stars Jim Cummings as a traveling knife salesman, Jocelin Donahue as diner server Charlotte, Faizon Love as gas station owner Vernon, and Barbara Crampton as police dispatcher Virginia. The Last Stop in Yuma County screens at 8 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Alamo South Lamar during Fantastic Fest. Francis Galluppi makes his directorial debut with The Last Stop in Yuma County.
