Presented by the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum and Alliance Française d'Austin Ciné-Club, this season’s Francophone Film Series focuses on dramas that tackle themes of migration. The series at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum kicks off 7 p.m. March 5 with La pirogue, continues 7 p.m. May 28 with Dheepan, and ends 7 p.m. July 23 with Une saison en France (A Season in France). The Alliance Francaise d’Austin Cine-Club also presents a monthly series at the AFS Cinema, with Les Invisibles scheduled for 1 p.m. Feb. 23. Other film series at the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum include Texas Focus, with Becoming Leslie on Feb. 27 and Slacker on April 17, with director Richard Linklater in attendance; Reel Women in Film, with The Divine Orderon March 27, Carmen Joneson April 10; and Knock Down the House on May 22; and the upcoming Summer Family Film Series.
