![]() Directed by the Austin-based Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews, the Fantastic Fest short comedy Shucky Darn finds a Texas pie-eating champion and survivalist barely breaking a sweat when news spreads that North Korean nuclear missiles are about to devastate the Lone Star State. But Wade’s plans to survive the attack in his underground bunker threaten to come undone because of his elderly mother, his best friend, and the love of his lie. Shucky Darn will screen before the feature The Death of Dick Long at 5 p.m. Sept. 20 and 5 p.m. Sept. 23 at the Alamo South Lamar during Fantastic Fest. Katie Graham and Andrew Matthews previously directed the 2013 comedy Zero Charisma and episodes of the PBS digital series Two Cents.
