"Run Like the Devil"
Directed by University of Texas film lecturer Steve Mims, the documentary Run Like the Devil examines the current U.S. Senate race between Republican incumbent Ted Cruz and Democratic challenger Beto O’Rourke. The documentary explores how Cruz and O’Rourke rose to prominence in Texas and emphasizes the significance of the upcoming U.S. Senate election, which will be held on Nov. 6. Run Like the Devil will screen 7 p.m. Sept. 6 and 6:30 p.m. Sept. 7 at the Austin Film Society’s AFS Cinema with director Steve Mims in attendance. The film also will screen Sept. 8, 9, and 11 at the AFS Cinema. Steve Mims previously directed the documentaries Incendiary: The Willingham Case and Starving the Beast and the narrative comedy Arlo and Julie.
