The sci-fi thriller Kin finds two brothers on the run from a ruthless criminal and two beings of unknown origin. Ex-con Jimmy Solinski (Jack Reynor) flees Detroit with his adopted brother Elijah (Myles Truitt) when a robbery he plans with Taylor Balik (James Franco) goes wrong. But Balik and his thugs are not the only ones searching for Jimmy and Elijah. Two so-called Cleaners, armed with advanced weapons and technology, want back the plasma gun Elijah found and took from an abandoned building. Kin co-stars Dennis Quaidl, Zoë Kravitz, and Carrie Coon. Brothers Jonathan Baker and Josh Baker based their directorial debut on their 2014 short film The Bag Man.
