The inaugural Lake Travis Film Festival runs Feb. 27-March 1 at various venues, including the Lakeway Resort, the Lakeway Activity Center, and Star Hill Ranch. The festival's opening night includes the world premiere of Austin director Ray Spivey's Writer’s Block and the U.S. premiere of the South Korean documentary Family in the Bubble; the festival's closing day includes Austin director Joe Barajas' Hollow Scream and the documentary Heads-Up: Will We Stop Making Cents? Other Austin films include the narrative features The Bob Zula and A Room Full of Nothing and the documentaries The Act of Reading,Cowboys, Greetings from Austin, and The Poster Boys. Other narrative features include Love Land and the documentaries 21 Years: A Folded Flag, The Act of Reading, Counter Histories: Rock Hill, Galore, The Gate: Dawn of the Bahá’í Faith, Magnolia’s Hope, Now or Never: A Tony Romo Story, andVinyl Generation. There also will be short narrative packages, workshops and demonstrations, prop exhibitions, a dog stunt show, a live table read, and a conversation with filmmakers Leslie and Kevin Alejandro.
