"A Wounded Fawn"
Rooted in Greek mythology, co-writer/director Travis Stevens’ A Wounded Fawn follows the efforts of a charming serial killer to seduce and slay his next target. But Bruce Ernst’s (Josh Ruben) perfect weekend getaway to a cabin in the woods with Meredith Tanning (Sarah Lind) doesn’t go quite as planned when Meredith refuses to act like his other victims. And there are other mysterious forces at work conspiring against Bruce, most notably the Furies, the three ancient Greek goddesses of vengeance and retribution. A Wound Fawn, which premiered locally at this year’s Fantastic Fest, is now available to stream on Shudder. Travis Stevens previously directed Jakob’s Wife and Girl On the Third Floor. Josh Ruben appeared in Blood Relatives and Plan B and also directed Werewolves Within and Scare Me. Sarah Lind, who is Travis Steven’s real-life partner, appeared in Jakob’s Wife, The Humanity Bureau, The Exorcism of Molly Hartley, Wolfcop, and the TV series True Justice and Edgemont. Aired: Dec. 6, 2022. Web sites: https://www.shudder.com/ https://www.facebook.com/shudder/ |
