Written and starring Christina Parrish, the Austin-shot comedy Call Me Brother finds two young adult siblings struggling to resist their mutual attraction. Parrish plays Lisa, who visits her slightly older brother Tony (Andrew Dismukes) for the first time since their parents got divorced 10 years. Tony lives with his father Frank and his stepmother Doris in a stable but unusual environment. Reuniting with Tony prompts Lisa to get in touch with her romantic and sexual urges, which results in the siblings tiptoeing around the obvious. Call Me Brother will screen 4:15 p.m. Feb. 17 at the AFS Cinema with writer/actress Christina Parrish and cast members in attendance. Directed by David Howe, Call Me Brother represents Christina Parrish’s first produced screenplay. Parrish has appeared in The Honor Farm, Blood Fest, and the TV series The Leftover.
