The 3rd Austin Music Video Festival will run Sept. 12-16 at various venues, including the Alamo Ritz, the Alamo South Lamar, the Lemon Lounge and Vulcan Gas Company. The festival will show 200 music videos from local, national and international artists in various blocks, including "Funny or High," From Russia With Love," "It’s Bigger Than (Hip Hop)," "Lady Power," "Saturday Morning Cartoons," and "Violent Vidz." There will be retrospectives of music videos by The Flaming Lips, Austin performers Walker Lukens and Christeene, and filmmaker Spike Jonze. Austin-based music video director John Valley will screen two of his latest works: Protextor's "Heatstroke" and Whiskey Shivers' "Cluck Ol' Hen." He also appears in the Good Field music video “Surface Tension" by director Zachary T. Scott.
