Interview:
Caleb Johnson,
writer/director,
"Joy Kevin"
Austin-based writer/director Caleb Johnson’s dramedy Joy Kevin chronicles the creative rut that young married couple Joy (Tallie Medel) and Kevin (Jordan Clifford) both find themselves in at the same time. Dancer Joy struggles to choreograph a performance under the scrutiny of her corporate underwriter. Stand-up comic Kevin can’t come up with a new act that is both funny and revealing. Johnson previously directed the short films Submariner, Living Room, Dog Run, and Root. Joy Kevin will screen 9 p.m. July 20 at the French Legation Museum as part of the Cinema East 2014 film series. Johnson will participate in a post-screening Q&A.
