"Paw Mama"
Written and directed by David N. Reyes, the Austin-shot dramedy Paw Mama stars Kimberlee Watson as Grace, an animal advocate who drops out of society after enduring some personal and professional hardships. Two years later and Grace remains stuck in a rut. Until, that is, she experiences several chance encounters that force her to reexamine her stalled life. Paw Mama also stars Laura Frances as Grace’s understanding but increasingly concerned sister Dee. Paw Mama will screen at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 15 at the Austin Southpark Hotel during the Austin Revolution Film Festival. David N. Reyes previously directed Texas AF, Empty Nester’s Handbook, My Ranger, and Trippin’ to the Altar. Paw Mama marks the first lead role by Kimberlee Watson, who is currently directing the short film Speed Dating.
