Interview:
Eric Bana,
"Force of Nature: The Dry"
The Australian crime thriller Force of Nature: The Dry 2 finds Eric Bana’s federal police detective Aaron Falk returning to unravel another mystery, this time involving a missing corporate whistleblower. Played by Fringe’s Ann Torv, Alice Russell goes missing during a corporate retreat in a lush national park. Falk and his partner Carmen Cooper (Jacqueline McKenzie) immediately treat Alice’s disappearance with suspicion because she was cooperating in their investigation into her boss’s illegal activities. But returning to the park after more than two decades forces Falk to confront his own past demons. Bana first played Falk in 2021’s The Dry, an adaptation of the Jane Harper novel that was one of the biggest hits when movies theaters reopened in Australian during the COVID pandemic. Based on Harper’s 2017 novel, Force of Nature: The Dry 2, which opened May 10 in theaters, is now available for digital/on-demand viewing. Australian actor Eric Bana previously collaborated with The Dry and Force of Nature: The Dry 2 director Robert Connolly on two dramas, 2007’s Romulus, My Father and 2022’s Blueback. Bana has also starred in Chopper, Black Hawk Down, Hulk, Tory, Munich, Star Trek, The Time Traveler’s Wife, Funny People, Lone Survivor, Deliver Us form Evil, The Finest Hours, and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword.
