Interview:
Ivo Raza,
writer/director,
"Reboot Camp"
Written and directed by Ivo Raza, the mockumentary Reboot Camp finds two documentary filmmakers starting a self-improvement group with the goal of chronicling the ease with which emotionally and psychology frail people fall prey to charismatic personalities. David Lipper stars as Seymour, who poses as Reboot Camp self-improvement guru Gordon St. Pierre. Keli Price plays Seymour's brother Danny, who films Seymour/Gordon" as he "helps" his followers reboot their lives. Filming goes smoothly until Seymour and Danny's producer forces them to hire his cousin Claire (Maya Stojan), who proves to be more than a disruptive force. The cast also includes Ed Begley Jr. and Chaz Bono as camp members as well as Eric Roberts, Ja Rule, David Koechner, former porn star Nicole Aniston, reality TV staple Johnny "Bananas" Devenanzio, and musician Billy Morrison playing fictional versions of themselves. Reboot Camp will stream as part of the 2020 virtual Austin Film Festival, which runs Oct. 22-29. Ivo Raza previously directed 2009's Jarring.
