A comedy about the creative process that gleefully toys with traditional narrative structure, co-writer/director Al Warren's Dogleg finds his independent filmmaker Alan Warner seeking advice from a film critic about the incomplete short films he has struggled to make over the course of the past five years. Warren connects the shorts to a subplot involving Warner searching Los Angeles for his lost dog Roo on the same day is is due to film scenes for another short. The supporting cast includes Search Party's Angela Trimbur, Sick of Myself director Kristoffer Borgli, and writer Nick Pinkerton as the film critic. Dogleg will screen at 5 p.m. July 23 with star/co-writer/director Al Warren in attendance.
