Experimental Response Cinema
Experimental Response Cinema screens cutting-edge works by local, national and international avant-garde film and video artists. The film collective kicks off its fall season with its ERCATX! local filmmakers showcase, which will be held 7:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the AFS Theater. The showcase will feature 11 experimental works and shorts by programmers Rachel Stuckey (left) and Scott Stark (center) as well Jay Roff-Garcia (right), Julie Conquest and Camille Gregoire, Andrew Infante, Liz Rodda, Heath Schultz, Robert Carey, Anne Heller and TJ Wade, Kent Juliff and Shannon Cloud, and Ivete Lucas and Patrick Bresnan. ERC's fall season continues Sept. 2-18 with a a five-film series devoted the late Chantal Ackerman followed on Sept. 21 with Films by Ken Jacobs, with the filmmaker in attendance.
