Writer/director Nathaniel Atcheson’s Domain focuses on seven of the thousands of survivors of a flu virus that wiped out most of the world’s population. Chosen by lottery by a company called Survival Technologies, each survivor lives alone in a self-sustaining bunker 30 feet below ground. Divided into groups scattered across the United States, survivors interact with each other through a communications and social network called Domain. One group begins to experience unusual occurrences months after they banned a member because of his sociopathic tendencies, causing some of them to believe that he may seeking revenge against them. The cast includes Brit Lower, Ryan Merriman, William Gregory Lee and Sonja Sohn. Domain will receive its world premiere at 5:15 p.m. Dec. 4 during the Other Worlds Austin SciFi Film Festival at the Flix Brewhouse in Round Rock. Nathaniel Atcheson previously directed the social media cautionary tale Herpes Boy and the thriller Dead Herring.
