"After Midnight"
In the Fantastic Fest creature feature After Midnight, Hank (Jeremy Gardner) longs for the return of his wife Abby (Brea Grant), who leaves their rural Florida home one morning for an extended period of time for reasons unknown to Hank. By day, Hank waits for Abby to return home. By night, Hank must protect their home from a creature of unknown origin. The Battery's Jeremy Gardner wrote After Midnight and directed it with his Battery cinematographer Christian Stella. They previously co-directed 2015's Tex Montana Will Survive! University of Texas grad Brea Grant appeared in several episodes of Friday Night Lights and Dexter and costarred in such genre films as Rob Zombie's Halloween II, Alleluia! The Devil's Carnival, Beyond the Gates, and Applecart (aka Dead Night). After Midnight, which screened during last year's Fantastic Fest, is now available on VOD.
