Olivia Klaus,
director,
Life After Manson"
This year’s Houston Film Commission’s Texas Filmmaker’s Showcase includes shorts by two Austin filmmakers, Leaves On Trees by Nathan S. Duncan and Life After Manson by Olivia Klaus. Duncan’s narrative drama Leaves On Trees chronicles the relationship between a young boy and a neighborhood woman with a questionable reputation. Klaus’ documentary Life After Manson focuses on Patricia Krenwinkel, the still-incarcerated member of Charles Manson’s so-called “Family” who was convicted along with Manson and two other female followers for the 1969 killing of seven people, including actress Sharon Tate. Leaves On Trees and Life After Manson will screen 2 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre as part of this year’s Houston Film Commission’s Texas Filmmaker’s Showcase. Leaves On Trees director Nathan S. Duncan joins Life After Manson director Olivia Klaus during this interview.
