International Film Festival
This year’s Cine Las Americas International Film Festival runs May 4-8 at the Marchesa Hall & Theatre, the Mexican American Cultural Center, the Salvage Vanguard Theatre and the North Door. The festival, which opens with the thriller Magallanes and close with the dreamed Viaje, will feature 38 feature films, 60 short films, and 16 music videos from 24 countries. Austin is represented by the world premiere of Cody Duckworth’s thriller Harbinger, which will screen with other local and state-made shorts and features as part of the Hecho en Tejas sidebar. Other features include The Extinction of the Dinosaurs, I Promise You Anarchy, The Memory of Water, A Moonlight Night, Restless Night, and We Are Pregnant.
