Interview:
Brent Baldwin,
The Golden Hornet Project
Founded by composers/musicians Graham Reynolds and Peter Stopschinski, the Golden Hornet Project endeavors to finish Mozart’s Requiem Mass, which the composer did not complete before his 1791 death. The project, also known as the Requiem Undead, will receive its world premiere on April 16 when it opens the 2014 Fusebox Festival. Reynolds and Stopschinski will offer a preview of the work-in-progress as part of the Golden Hornet Project’s screening event of Amadeus at 7 p.m. Jan. 30 at the Alamo Lakeline. Texas Choral Consort artistic director and Golden Hornet Project participant Brent Baldwin will conduct a live choral performance of the work-in-progress.
