"Love Radio" Pilot Episode
You are tuned in to K-O-O-P Radio, “the only Central Texas radio station to play nothing but love songs.’ No, your favorite Austin community radio station has not changed formats. Instead, this is the KOOP Radio of the web series pilot episode Love Radio. Written and directed by Jeremy J. Mohler, and shot at the KOOP Studio, Love Radio stars The Walking Dead’s Austin Amelio as Chad, a radio DJ who is tired of playing the same old silly love songs, such as Celine Dion’s “My Heart Will Go On.” Chad’s lack of interest in the station’s format results in a battle of wills with K-O-O-P manager Phil (Everybody Wants Some!! and My All-American’s Juston Street). The pilot episode Love Radio is now available for streaming at YouTube. Jeremy J. Mohler previously directed the shorts Blue Motel, I Love My Shoes, and One Below Even. He also served as a production assistant on such locally shot films and TV shows as Friday Night Lights, The Leftovers, Angels Sing, Bernie, Boyhood, Joe, Manglehorn, My All-American, Prince Avalanche, and the upcoming This Side of the Dirt. He is currently directing the second episode of Love Radio, which also feature the KOOP Studio as a location. Austin-based producer Will Rimmer co-stars in Love Radio as rival DJ Harry.
