Lindsey Morgan, the 100 star who attended the University of Austin, had no idea when she filmed her brief appearance in 2017’s Beyond Skyline that director Liam O’Donnell would call her months later to inform her he had written the third entry in the Skyline franchise for her to carry. The threequel Skylin3s continues to chronicle the conflict between humans and an invading alien race known as the Harvesters that began with 2010’s Skyline. In both Beyond Skyline and Skylin3s, Morgan plays the adult version of Rose, whose alien-enhanced DNA allows her to commandeer Harvester technology. Five years after leading the assault on the Harvesters’s Armada vessel, Rose embarks on a mission to save the freed human-alien bio-mechanical soldiers known as pilots from a deadly pandemic of unknown origin that is spreading rapidly around the world. Rose and her team travel to the alien home planet of Cobalt 1 to recover the mothership’s core drive, which contains the technology to cure the pilots. Skylin3salso stars Jeremy Fitzgerald as Rose’s pilot brother Trent, Daniel Bernhardt and Jonathan Howard as Rose’s crew members, Alexander Siddig as Rose’s commander General Radford, and Rhona Mitra as Dr. Mal, a physician dedicated to the health and well-being of the ailing pilots. Skylin3s opened this year's Other Worlds Film Festival and will receive a theatrical, PVOD, and digital release beginning Dec. 18. Raised in Houston, Lindsey Morgan briefly studied at the University of Texas before leaving for Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. After starring as Kristina Davis in the daytime soap opera General Hospital, Morgan rose to prominence as Raven Reyes in the sci-fi series The 100, which ended its seven-season run earlier this fall. Morgan is now back in Austin to shoot the Walker reboot TV series opposite Jared Padalecki. Walker, which stars Morgan as Micki Ramirez, a Texas Ranger partnered with Padalecki’s Cordell Walker, will debut Jan. 21 on The CW.
